Evernote

I thought that Evernote is very useful.  By clipping the source, I can find it faster and easier, and can understand the source more.  More over, when we just clip the brief article, we can remember wht was the source about. Out of all kinds of features,  I think I would mose likely to use Bookmark since I need to look for tons of sources in the internet.

Secondly C.R.A.P stands for Contrast, Repetition, Alignments, Proximity, and it's an acronym for the elements comprising bad design. For Contrast, we need to malr all of the page elements such as tyoe, colour and size same. Repetition helps develop the organization and strengthen the unity of a page. Repeating visual elements develops the design. Every element should have some visual connection with another element on the page, and it creates a consistent and sophisticated alignment. Related items should be grouped, because their proximity reinforces their information, and their visual unity reduces clutter.

For my final project, I7m going ti write about SNS. Nowadays people are using many kinds of SNS for different needs. Some proplr are using SNS by pritending to be other person, not themselves. Why does it happen and what do the want to do? I want to reseatch about it.

Homework

For our first homework, "List of Church of England dioceses" was FA in Wikipedia.
It was really hard to find it!!! I found that it is quite difficult to find reliable article in Wikipedia.

For our socond homework, I'm kind of got used to using zotero, but i sometimes don't understand where can I correct. Work cited for book is quite anderstandable, but not for newspaper. I need to study about it more.

Library Database Lecture

Hi!

It was our second time for the Library Database Lecture!

By writing a lot of essays during this and last semester, I found it really difficult to find some sources. I was not sure where I can bring sources from since there are too much place to find them, and I was not sure if those information were true fact. By using database that I learned in this lecture, I can find many facts that are reliable and don’t need to get confused by the false fact that are exist in the Internet.

Moreover, using database is a great short cut to write citation! I’m really confused with way of writing citation. Database is wonderful since I can find information to put in the works cited! I was very surprised with Zotero before, but I was also surprised at this too! I hope that I can use these tools fluently someday so that I could write good research writing next semester.

I think this Zotero is very very useful to our study from now on! I wonder why we couldn't use it last term...but I'm not sure if I can use this fluently or not, because it was quite hard for me. I need a lot of training before using it for writing essay in ELA. Also, I wonder if we can use it not using google chrome, since I'm using Windows instead of Mac.
I need to find some source about Witch Hunt for my essay in ELA, because I want to write about discrimination among myths. We sometimes discriminate people with stereotypes, without noticing what the person is like. And that tereotypes sometimes can be a myth without any reliable evidence. I want to write about these things.

This was first time for me to make this kind of survey and ther report. I didn't know that there are some techniques to make people feel easy to answer the truth, so it was really interesting. And also, using computer for making and collecting survey make my life very very easier! I am going to using this for my research writings in the future, not only in ELA but also in psychology, because I want to study psychology later. I think that there are more effective way to present the result, so I want to learn more about it.

 

Homework September 8th 2014

Hi! My first week in fall has finished! It was quite a hard week... But it was excited:)
So let me answer the question from our homework.

Ok. How do I think the tools or strategies that we are going to learn in this class will be helpful in my academic research.I think that these tools and strategies are very useful. For example I can use Bloger for knowing what people think about something by looking at their comments and also I can understand what other proper are thinking by looking at their blog. Evernote is a good tool to collect information that I want to use in paper. There are so many sources in the Internet, and it is really confusing to find the place to get some information. By using this tool, I think that I can narrow down the range of the site to get the information and can concentrate on finding out whether the source is reliable or not. For Zotero, I think this is the best tool that we are going to learn in this class! I was so confused with writhing works cited that i always feel like I cannot understand what I was doing. I think this is not just me, everyone might have feel like that. This tool must help as a lot!

Secondly, how comfortable for me to use such a technology for learning. I'm not really good at using technologies like Internet, so I find it quite difficult to learn using these tools. I normally use Google or Google scholar to search in my student life, but I don't think I'm using it effectively.  However I'm sure that these tools are very convenient and useful to our learnings, so I want to and I have to use these fluently.
